On the 12th of October my Irish class was cut short so that we could partake in a CPR course. The course taught us what to do in a situation where someone is not breathing. We learned how to do hands-only CPR and also how to operate a defibrillator. We were shown an informative video which told us all about how it is important to keep a person's blood flowing if they are unconscious to minimize damage done to their brain. The optimal amount of compressions per minute is 90-120 . We got to practice CPR these dolls that simulate how hard you have to compress the chest. When you push hard enough you hear a loud click. I think it was a very useful course that could potentially save somebody's life in the future
